The Crowd Last Night; were brilliant I thought

I couldn't go last night. But from what I saw on he telly the crowd were fantastic. That was really good, startiing to show the fighting spirit we are going to need. I sincerely hope we can keep it up for the rest of the season.

One bit that really gave me a good laugh, and a bit of a lift........

Scousers singng ' Going down, going down going down'. The Blues fans spontaneously 'So are we, so are we, so are we'. Brilliant.

Final point. Whatever happened to the Scousers. They used to have a sense of humour. Their continual same insult hurled at Steve Bruce was very boring, repetetive and almost as bad as the abuse Steve gets from his own fans.

I thought the fans were crap, they should have walked out on mass at 5-0 to show the board that we have had enough of Bruce and as long as you lot sit in yr seats and take this kind of crap then the board will just stick up with it.

Mass protest now

Bruce out now

The crowd were pertty good on the whole last night.

Obviously there were a few issues and problems but that is to be expected in the situation that we are in.

The singing back to the Liverpool fans was quite funny - as was the song about comign back up and the Villa!

To be honest i watched the game on Tv :o

but the crowd sounded excellent and when your 4-0 down and all you can hear is bluenoses singing keep right on it still puts a smile on your face

well done **thumbup

The crowd were fantastic, the rendition of KRO at 5 nil down just shows we have heart and love our club no matter what (OK we struggled at 6 and 7 as we were a bit choked)

Its not about a bunch of players, a manager or the board… its our club and we love it

KRO for life

I went to bed last night completely content. Not at the situation we find ourselves in but the fact that I was in a boat, in stormy seas - but with the best people in the world.

The fact that we're being tossed all over the place and pitched from side to side and have absolutely zero influence on what is going to happen only serves to strengthen our resolve and when such resolve in needed, what do we do?

All pull together, have sing-song, a bit of a laugh and show that although things are absolutely effin awful, you'll never quite break the beating heart of Birmingham City - US. The supporters.

Keeping right on to The Pop League and beyond.

Funnily, I was speaking to my Villa fan GF and her son this morning and telling them what we were singing etc and they were amazed, kept saying it would never happen down at Villa park - this why we are blue noses and why we will go down together

It did feel good last night to be amongst such brilliant supporters. The humour all around us was fantastic - we'd reached that 'resigned to it' stage where the only thing to do was laugh. And Bluenoses are the best at doing it. Strange feeling and strange reason - but good that we can do it. **thumbup

You are right that the fans that stayed to the end were great and it was also good that
there was more singing and more humour than we have had for a long time.

But ......

We could only sell 27000 tickets for an FA cup quarter final, even though Liverpool had
90% of the Railway and the tickets were cheap compared with Premiership games.

...... and .....

I reckon less than half of the Blues fans stayed to the end.

To be honest, I don't blame people for leaving early under the circumstances, though I
wouldn't do it myself

Clapham:

"The fans are a credit to the club, the ones who stayed. It was a disappointing night but the majority of fans were there still when we were 7-0 down and that says a lot for them, it says a lot for their character, and I'd just like to thank them for that.

the golds nor sullivan will quit
an neither will bruce.......who let's face it is has been more successful in his own right than blues have in their entire history

I stayed right to the end ! it was sooo funny when fans in the old family stand were singing, lets all have a disco , lets all have a disco la laa laaa la ohh ! lol. And the 2 pitch invasions were fun too. after the 3rd goal i just looked around for amusing things rather than watch the game lol !

Well I travelled my usual 360 mile round trip as I do nearly every home game and was didgusted that the players could not turn out and give the same grit and determination that the fans did. I am proud to be a blue nose fan but feel that the players and the managment are a disgrace. We pay out our hard earnt money every match, some people even spend money they cant really afford to watch the team they love. No matter what happens the players walk away with more money each week than most of us earn in a year. I am a die hard Blue nose and have been for 30 + years but I really think it is time the fans got something back rather than frustration, Humiliation and disapointment. How long can Bruce blame injury. The team he put out last night was his buying and he signed them saying that they were worth the wages and they would be an asset to the club. Well I think its time we payed players on performance and most of the Birmingham sqaud would starve.

Yes, some of the chants and comments from fans sitting nearby made our night, they were so funny. One bloke behind me said....'I think this will kick-start our season now!' and 'I thought we were the better side........for the first 30 seconds!'

Just a comment about the Tom Ross phone-in........my sympathies to him for his sad loss........but I thought the extra half-hour was for Blues fans to vent their feelings on that performance. Anybody that didn't agree with him was cut short and although I agree with Tom's opinion that the defence could not even do the basics, he didn't give much chance for anyone else to have an opinion. The extra half-hour was for himself to go on a rant.

I was one of the suffering thousands last night and have to agree the fans were absolutely fantastic given the humiliation we all had to endure.

You never cease to hear what marvellous fans the Scousers, Geordies, etc, are, but if there are better fans than Brummies considering the heartache we've had to put up with over the year's then I'd like to know.
